At BEYOND Expo 2026 in Macau, iFLYTEK unveiled its AI Glasses, a 40-gram wearable designed for ambient communication and intelligence. The debut, on May 30, 2026, aligned with the expo's theme of AI moving from digital interfaces to physical objects and daily wearables. iFLYTEK, a company known for its speech and language technology, positions these glasses as a logical extension of its core competency.

The new AI Glasses feature real-time translation, teleprompting, and advanced noise recognition. Central to its intelligence is the GlassClaw AI agent, which captures conversations, generates meeting summaries, and provides full-scenario real-time translation. Yanko Design highlights the teleprompter feature as a practical application for presentations and multilingual business settings, giving the glasses a repeatable use case.

Achieving the 40-gram weight required specific material choices. The frame uses an aerospace-grade magnesium-aluminum alloy, providing structural rigidity without front-heavy discomfort. The display relies on a resin waveguide combined with a customized micro-optical module, balancing visual quality with a minimal physical footprint. Yanko Design reports that ergonomic adjustments were specifically calibrated for Asian facial structures, underscoring a deliberate approach to wearability.

Our take: iFLYTEK's communication-first strategy for its AI Glasses is a pragmatic move in a market still searching for killer apps. The company's deep expertise in speech AI gives its translation and noise handling capabilities a strong foundation. Like the Ray-Ban Meta glasses demonstrated the power of lightweight audio wearables, iFLYTEK is betting on a similar success by adding a display and robust translation features to an unobtrusive form factor. These glasses leverage a clear professional use case, positioning them to genuinely matter in the wearable tech landscape.

The iFLYTEK AI Glasses are priced at 4,299 yuan, approximately $635 USD, with presales scheduled to begin on June 15. The company also hosted an ecosystem partner forum at the expo alongside Sunny Optical, Wanxin Optical, and Conant Optics, indicating a long-term strategy beyond a single product launch.
