Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 May 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Smart Glasses Daily (operated by Buzznow, France) collects, uses and protects personal data, including data received via the TikTok, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google platform APIs that we use to publish our own editorial content.

1. Who we are

Smart Glasses Daily is an editorial publication operated by Buzznow, an independent publisher registered in France. Editorial contact: contact@buzznow.com.

2. What we collect

Visitors: anonymous traffic data (page views, referrer, country, device class) via privacy-friendly analytics. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.

Newsletter subscribers: email address and language preference, used only to send our newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

Forum and contact forms: email address, display name (if you choose one) and the content of your message. Used to reply and to moderate the forum.

Authenticated accounts (optional): if you sign in, we store your authentication identifier, display name and avatar via our authentication provider.

3. Data received from platform APIs (TikTok, Meta, Google)

Smart Glasses Daily uses TikTok, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google APIs strictly to publish our own editorial content from our own official accounts. We request the minimum scopes required to post videos, images and text on the accounts we own.

TikTok scopes used: user.info.basic (to verify the connected account is ours), video.publish and video.upload (to upload and publish videos to our own TikTok account). We do not request access to other users' data, do not read other users' content, and do not store any TikTok data beyond what is strictly required to publish our own posts.

Meta scopes used: pages_manage_posts, pages_read_engagement, instagram_basic, instagram_content_publish, business_management - all limited to our own Facebook Page and Instagram Business account.

Google scopes used: YouTube Data API search (read-only public videos) to embed publicly available videos in editorial articles.

We never resell platform data, never use it for advertising, and never share it with third parties for marketing.

4. Cookies

We use a small set of strictly necessary cookies for session management and language preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, email contact@buzznow.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
