Smart Glasses Daily is an independent editorial magazine covering the smart-glasses category. We rewrite and re-report; we do not republish source articles verbatim. This page explains how we handle copyright and how rights-holders can request a takedown.
Editorial policy
Every story is rewritten in our own words. Facts (announcement dates, official prices, technical specs, product names) are public-domain and freely re-reportable.
Opinions, analyses, anecdotes and direct quotes from another outlet are always attributed in-text to the original journalist (when known) AND the outlet, in line with French Article L122-5 (right of short citation).
Our automated pipeline refuses to publish any rewrite where more than 15% of the body is verbatim, or where 3+ consecutive sentences are near-identical to the source. Both checks are baked into our publishing code.
Photos are sourced from official manufacturer press kits / newsrooms first. Press-agency photos (AFP, Reuters, AP, Getty, Bloomberg, Xinhua, Kyodo, Yonhap, dpa, EPA, Sipa, Abaca…) are NEVER reused unless the caption explicitly attributes the shot to a manufacturer (i.e. an OEM-supplied press image redistributed by the agency).
Every photo is shown with its original caption + photographer credit when available.
Each article links back to the original source with a hypertext link to the outlet's URL, in the body itself.

- • EU Directive 2019/790 on copyright in the Digital Single Market ("droits voisins" / neighbouring rights for press publishers).
- • French Code de la propriété intellectuelle, Articles L122-5 (short citation) and L218-1 to L218-5 (press-publisher neighbouring rights).
- • U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
- • Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works.
