Overview
The XREAL Aura, currently known under the development codename Project Aura, is an upcoming pair of augmented reality glasses officially announced for release in September 2026. Built around an optical see-through display, the glasses deliver a spacious 70-degree field of view to project digital imagery clearly into your environment.
Performance relies on a dedicated X1S and Snapdragon dual-chip design, which enables on-device AI capabilities alongside the integrated Gemini AI assistant. An onboard camera is included directly on the frame to support smart visual operations and input.
In terms of hardware configuration, the Aura requires a wired cable connection to operate. While general consumer availability is targeted for Fall 2026, XREAL is providing dedicated developer kits ahead of launch to foster application development.
