FunFitLand Boosts VR Workouts with Live Heart Rate Tracking App

Announced September 8, 2026, FunFitLand is expanding its VR fitness platform with a new smartphone companion app for iOS and Android. This application brings live heart rate monitoring from compatible wearables straight into its immersive workouts on Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro headsets.

According to UploadVR's Craig Storm, who tested the beta with an Apple Watch, the in-headset display includes live heart rate readings alongside progress indicators. Storm reported that this additional information "gave me a better sense of both my effort and where I was in the workout without having to interrupt it."

Beyond real-time data, the mobile app provides detailed post-workout analysis, including average and maximum heart rate, a session graph, and time spent across five heart rate zones. Users can also browse the workout library, save favorites, review past sessions, track goals and streaks, and set workout reminders. On Quest, the app supports exchanging kudos with friends, though UploadVR notes that social features for the Vision Pro version are temporarily absent at launch, with FunFitLand stating this is a temporary situation.

At launch, the FunFitLand app supports standard Bluetooth Low Energy heart rate straps, Apple Watch, and compatible Samsung watches. Other watches and fitness bands may also function, with a compatibility test available within the mobile app itself.
