Overview
The SmartXY AR99 is a lightweight pair of tethered HUD glasses built for OEM, ODM, and white-label deployments. Designed with a magnesium-lithium alloy and TR90 frame alongside titanium-alloy hinges, the device weighs just 28 g. Visuals are provided by a monocular single-green Micro-LED display using a VHG waveguide, delivering up to 2,000 nits of brightness with a 640 x 480 resolution and a 30-degree field of view.
As a camera-free wearable, the glasses provide heads-up information while addressing privacy-sensitive environments. Operation relies on a wired connection to a smartphone, with AI assistant features handled through Mentra OS running on the paired phone or partner app rather than on-device silicon. Users control the device using a physical key, temple touch controls, or an optional smart ring integration.
Rather than selling directly to consumers at retail, SmartXY offers mass-production units for enterprise logo pilots starting at 200 units. The design accommodates vision correction through integrated lenses or snap-in inserts, supported by a 100 mAh battery that yields 1 to 3 hours of active feature use.
