Overview
The Brilliant Labs Frame is a pair of wireless heads-up display (HUD) smart glasses priced at $349. Announced in February 2024 and shipped in April 2024, the device integrates a microOLED display with an onboard camera and on-device AI processing. At its core is an Alif B1 chip equipped with a Cortex-M55 CPU and dedicated NPU, providing hardware-level support for intelligent tasks without needing a cable.
In the market, the Frame stands out through its open-source hardware and software foundation, which utilizes ZephyrOS and a Lua interface alongside a cross-platform mobile app. Interaction is handled by the Noa AI assistant and a cloud-based AI agent, supported by two microphones with voice activity detection and a six-axis IMU with tap detection.
