Xreal has launched the One Pro+, an updated version of its popular One Pro AR glasses. Announced October 15, 2026, this refresh focuses on core user experience, delivering significant improvements in display brightness and wearability.

The One Pro+ now boasts a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, a substantial increase over the original One Pro's 700 nits, which should improve visibility in various lighting conditions. Xreal has also integrated AI HDR upscaling technology to refine visual quality and upgraded its 2D-to-3D content conversion algorithm from 30Hz to 60Hz. According to Engadget, this 3D conversion feature is reminiscent of the spatial imaging found in Apple Vision Pro.

Comfort has also seen an upgrade with a newly designed nose pad, aiming to enhance long-term wear stability without compromising the field of view. Engadget's Lawrence Bonk noted his particular excitement for this feature, highlighting the difference between short-term and multi-hour use, where discomfort often becomes an issue.

Beyond these enhancements, the One Pro+ largely mirrors its predecessor, retaining the X1 spatial computing chip and a 57-degree field of view. Engadget previously praised the original One Pro for its productivity capabilities, particularly for screen mirroring and media consumption, stating it "intrigued us in ways that Meta's glasses never did." Crucially, the One Pro+ continues Xreal's approach of omitting an integrated camera. This design choice, Engadget reports, helps avoid the privacy concerns and 'pervert glasses' label that have plagued some competing products, specifically referencing Meta's smart glasses.

Priced at $600, the One Pro+ maintains the same cost as the previous model. It is available now.

Our take: Xreal's strategy here is smart. Instead of a complete overhaul, they've focused on iterative improvements to critical user experience elements. Enhanced brightness directly addresses a common AR pain point, and better comfort is vital for adoption. By sticking to its camera-free philosophy, Xreal carves out a distinct privacy-conscious niche in a crowded market. This refresh ensures the One Pro+ remains a strong contender for users prioritizing display quality and wearability over integrated capture.
