Announced October 21, 2026, the INMO GO3 smart glasses enter a market grappling with fundamental challenges in smart eyewear design. According to 9to5Google, INMO aims to address both the demand for integrated visual displays and the persistent user friction surrounding on-device cameras. The new model integrates Google's Gemini AI and introduces several user-focused features.

Central to the GO3 experience is its dual MicroLED display system, which positions information directly within the user's field of view. Unlike many existing smart glasses that lack direct visual output, the INMO GO3 offers bright 1,500-nit displays, one for each eye, with a 30-degree field-of-view. This design allows for seamless interaction and information consumption without diverting attention to a smartphone.

The device leverages artificial intelligence for real-time translation across 98 languages, including 13 available offline. This feature facilitates direct communication by presenting translated speech instantly in the user's eyeline, bypassing traditional smartphone-based translation apps. Additionally, the GO3 supports note-taking during meetings, with future updates promising direct summaries delivered via the glasses.

Further AI integration includes a teleprompter function and an onboard AI assistant, which is powered by both Google's Gemini and OpenAI's ChatGPT. This assistant can answer queries, recognize images captured by the integrated camera, and perform other utility functions. The displays also support turn-by-turn navigation, offering an immediate visual guide without requiring a phone.

Despite its advanced feature set, INMO has kept the GO3 remarkably lightweight. The glasses weigh 58 grams. As 9to5Google notes, this is "just a tiny bit heavier" than Meta's display-less Ray-Ban Smart Glasses. With 8mm temples, the design aims for discretion, resembling conventional eyewear.

A significant design innovation addresses one of smart glasses' most persistent limitations: battery life. The INMO GO3 features an interchangeable battery system, allowing users to swap depleted power packs for freshly charged ones. While a charging case is included for standard top-offs, the modular battery design ensures extended uptime and minimizes interruptions.

Our take: INMO's approach with the GO3 directly tackles several pain points in the smart glasses market. The dual MicroLED display system is a bold move, offering a more immersive and practical visual experience compared to single-eye waveguide solutions often seen in this category. The interchangeable battery is a pragmatic response to real-world usage demands. While the device promises to address camera privacy concerns, the specifics of its "clever camera privacy" solution are not detailed in the available reporting. Overall, the GO3 presents a compelling combination of display-centric functionality and user-focused design.
