Forget about the metaverse. The Air 3 is a 220-inch monitor you fold into your bag.

XREAL has spent five years refining a single idea: a pair of glasses that act as a giant external monitor. The Air 3, out next month, is the version that finally makes that idea boring — in the best way.

Plug them into a laptop, a Steam Deck, an iPhone 15 or anything with USB-C DisplayPort, and you get a stable, sharp 1080p screen floating wherever you point your head. There is no setup. There is no account. You just plug in.

The new Bose-tuned speakers are louder, the field of view widens to 50 degrees, and the prescription insert system is now magnetic. Battery? There is none — the glasses pull power from the source device.

If you want to play Cyberpunk in business class without a neighbor seeing your screen, this is the product. If you want a Vision Pro replacement, look elsewhere.
