AI glasses went from one credible product to roughly a dozen in the last twelve months. Most are bad. A few are genuinely good. Here is how to think about the category in 2025.

If you want a daily-driver pair you'll actually wear in public, the Meta Ray-Ban Display is the obvious answer. If you want a portable monitor for travel, get the XREAL Air 3. If you want a full spatial computer and budget isn't the issue, wait three months and buy the Vision Pro 2.

Avoid: anything from a brand you've never heard of, anything that requires its own dedicated phone app to function, and anything claiming '8K resolution' for under $300. Those numbers are lies.

The category is still maturing. Wait six months and the field will be clearer. Buy now only if a specific product solves a specific problem you have today.
